China Huaneng × Kevin: How AI Can Truly Land in Enterprise Finance, Operations, and Projects?

Entering China Huaneng: Three Key Connections for Enterprise AI Upgrade

Recently, Xiao'an Laosi and Kevin, core members of the AI Breakthrough Club, led a technical team to China Huaneng for in-depth exchanges with the Finance, Operations, and Project departments. The discussions focused on three directions: enterprise AI internal training plans, office business AI upgrade, and enterprise technology project development solutions. Below are the key on-site insights.

Enterprise AI Internal Training Plan: Customization is Key

Huaneng hopes that AI internal training can truly land rather than be a formality. Kevin's team proposed that training content should be designed by position: finance staff focus on data analysis and reimbursement process automation, operations staff focus on report interpretation and forecasting, and project staff focus on document management and progress tracking. Only by achieving "one position, one training" will employees find AI useful.

Office Business AI Upgrade: Find Scenarios from Pain Points

During the visit, the most frequently reported pain points across departments were repetitive document processing and cross-department information coordination. Kevin suggested first selecting 2-3 high-frequency, low-value scenarios (such as automatic weekly report generation and meeting minutes organization) for AI pilot projects, then scaling up after quickly seeing results.

Enterprise Technology Project Development Solution: AI-Assisted Innovation

The Project department hopes AI can assist in the full lifecycle management of technology projects, including project initiation research, document generation, and code assistance. Kevin's team shared a layered approach: first implement the tool layer (AI-assisted writing/coding), then the analysis layer (intelligent data insights), and finally the decision-making layer.
